The 11+ is the exam taken during Year 6 for entry to Selective Entry State (Grammar) Schools and Independent Schools. There are four components of the 11 Plus – English, Maths, Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning, and schools either test for all four of these, or a combination. In certain areas and for certain schools, competition can be extremely tough, and preparation is crucial if your child is to achieve successful entry to their preferred schools. Preparing for the 11+ can be done in a number of ways, whether this is from parents at home, one to one tuition with a tutor, or group learning outside of school.
Our 11+ Course has been designed to target the weakest areas in each pupil, individually and as a group, and to reinforce learning from Year 5 for topics covered in the 11+ tests. The course takes place during the summer holidays after Year 5 and the October Half Term and Christmas Holidays in Year 6.
